The Big Apple

The seas and winds were good, so we made the decision to get the Atlantic Ocean behind us on a good weather day and head north. We had a long day, 11 hours, of travel from Atlantic City to our anchorage at Sandy Hook, NJ.  We anchored in a bouncy bay last night, bought diesel this morning and then we were off to New York City and the Hudson River.

Magnificent, describes seeing New York City on the horizon.

The large fence is a golf driving range.

New York Harbor and skyline, kept us busy looking at the sights and watching out for other boats, ferries and even small personal watercraft.

The Statue of Liberty, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, what a thrill to boat alongside.

Statue of Liberty with long lines of visitors.  We waved as we slowly went by as we continued up the Hudson River.
